Week 12 MLS Toll-Booth Sportsbook Picks

We are back on track after a successful week 12. Included in this week's totals are previously unpublished results from the MLS bye week (which were not published due to international break).

On the season we are 39-37 in correct sportsbook picks putting us 24.44 units in the green!

If you prefer, skip to the dotted line for only this week's picks!

Match- Atlanta United host New England Revolution

Pick- New England +120

Result- 1-0 Win

As I mentioned in the article last week, if Buksa gets the start New England wins. he contributed with a 18th minute assist to Gustavo Bou that served as the game winner. Great odds as an away team won us an early +120.

Match- Columbus Crew host NYCFC

Pick- NYCFC +160

Result- 2-1 Loss

Columbus was able to right their ship with a 2-1 win against NYCFC in week 11. Stars Zelarayan and Nagbe scored for an unimpressive Columbus lineup that played worse but left with three points.

Match- Vancouver Whitecaps host LA Galaxy

Pick- Vancouver +220

Result- 2-1 Win

Alex is going to hear all about Brian White's game-winning assist as Vancouver wins in the upset of the week. Both Dajome and Caicedo, who I mentioned in my article, scored to get us another +220 in the bag.

Match- Minnesota United host Seattle Sounders

Pick- Seattle +230

Result- 1-0 Loss

Minnesota handed Seattle their first loss of the season in a mostly even match. Hats off to Robin Lod with the game winner and Adrian Heath for finally breaking through Seattle's undefeated streak.

Week 12 Sportsbook Picks

Match- Chicago Fire host Toronto FC

Pick- Toronto FC +200

Toronto FC is 1-2-0 picking up 5 points in three games since firing manager Chris Armas. They face off in a bottom-of-the-east match against the Chicago Fire who looked good in early July with two straight wins before unraveling again against Nashville SC last week.

This game is a true toss-up, but with Armas sacked, Pozuelo back in form, and Jozy Altidore returning from his exile, I will keep betting Toronto as long as the odds at +200.

Key to the Game-

The magic number seems to be 3 in Chicago. They have had sporadic offense this season- scoring 9 goals in a 3 game July stretch and only 7 goals in their other 11 matches. If Toronto can get Chris Mavinga and Omar Gonzalez clicking again and keep Chicago UNDER 3 goals they can get a win.

Match- Real Salt Lake host Colorado Rapids

Pick- Colorado Rapids +200

While they may be 4th in the west, Colorado has had enough results in their 7-3-3 campaign to be 5th in the entire league.

They face off against a 4-5-4 RSL squad who has played 75% of their wins at altitude- their biggest advantage. They barely squeaked out a home draw this week (2-2) with the LA Galaxy. RSL won't be able to out-fitness the Rapids and wont have the firepower to take a home win.

Key to the Game-

The team with better wing play will come away with the win. I have my money on Michael Barrios and Nicolas Benezet from Colorado over Justin Meram and Albert Rusnak of RSL.

This matchup is closer than it seems, but I have to go with the potency of the Rapids attack, their depth of players, and the creativity of Robin Fraser to come up with a game plan and a formation to best suit his team.

Match- Inter Miami CF host Philadelphia Union

Pick- Philadelphia Union +165

Inter Miami is dead last in the league with a 2-2-8 record (only 8 points). They are also dead last with 9 goals scored in all of 2021. While they received a brief storm respite and missed the RBNY game in New York last week, they got taken out by the Revolution to the tune of a 5-0 home loss mid-week.

Miami will get another heavy dose of the northeast as they face off against the Union this weekend. I don't know what I am missing here- +165 on the Union looks like a straight up steal.

Key to the Game-

Vegas oddsmakers are still missing some MLS storylines. Union wins easily, Phil Neville is fired, and Miami makes Sergio Santos look like Neymar de Silvo Santos.

Match- Seattle Sounders host Sporting Kansas City

Pick- Sporting Kansas City +190

This week, the top team in the West faces off against the second In one of my games of the week. The Seattle mystery was solved last week when Minnesota handed them their first loss of the season. Partially to blame is the list of notable Sounders missing- 8 players listed as "out," Arreaga on suspension, and Nouhou Tolo listed as questionable.

Key to the Game-

Last time they were without Pulido, SKC had Salloi with a brace and Johnny Russell with an assist. They will look to continue that connection this week and hope Khiry Shelton does just enough right to find the back of the net.
