Toll Booth- Week 17 MLS Sportsbook Picks
Thanks again for joining us for another great week of MLS Sportsbook picks here at the i80 Sports Toll Booth! Here is a quick shot of how last week's bets played out:

Now let's get back into it!
Week 17 Toll Booth MLS Sportsbook Picks
Match- Columbus host Seattle Sounders
Pick- Seattle Sounders +190
The Columbus Crew have completed their mid-season collapse with 5 straight losses in the month of August. Their defense has given up 12 goals in that span, including 4 each to NYCFC and DC United. They seem like the "get right" defense to get offenses back on track.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Sounders had a definitive 6-2 win against the Portland Timbers to bounce back from a mini-slump. They are back to firing on all cylinders and this game just seems like a slam dunk.
Key to the Game-
One weakness in particular for the Columbus defense has been defending skilled players and conceding long shots. That is there Seattle should shine this weekend.
Expect Seattle to create a multitude of chances and expect Raul Ruidiaz to get on the board. He rested mid-week so fire him up for this weekend!
Match- DC United host Atlanta United
Pick- DC United -110
Atlanta is a tough call coming off of 3 wins in a row, but I have my eye on DC United at home this week. They are coming off of a 2 game road trip wehre they lost both games (Nashville and New England) and will look to get back in form.
A fun stat is to look up home versus away points per game. DC United is scoring 2.25 ppg at home and only .75 points away. That Is the second highest home PPG total in major league soccer.
Key to the Game-
It seems like only a few weeks ago we were giving stats about how poor DC was at scoring and how their expected goal differential was horrible- but they turned that around FAST.
Ola Kamara has 11 goals this season and has a hungry home squad behind him. The winner of the game will be the team that capitalizes on their chances. I expect Atlanta will hold majority possession but DC will put the ball in the net when it counts.
Match- Inter Miami host Toronto FC
Pick- Inter Miami -105
Two bottom-feeders of the Eastern Conference face off this weekend as Toronto visits Inter Miami. Miami seems to have turned a corner from earlier this summer when they lost six in a row- and now Toronto is on their own 5 game winless bender.
Key to the Game-
Jozy Altidore was in the news this week and is recovering from surgery while Akinola is also listed as "out." This poses the question:
Who do you trust MORE to score- Gonzalo Higuain or Patrick Mullins?
Exactly. Bet Miami.
Match- Houston Dynamo host FC Dallas
Pick- FC Dallas +220
The Copa Tejas takes another turn this week as Houston will host FC Dallas. In their last 6 meetings, Dallas has 3 wins and 2 draws (with Dynamo's lone win coming in August of 2020).
It is safe to say this has been a rough season for the Copa Tejas- Austin sits at 4-4-11, Houston at 3-9-8, and Dallas at 5-6-9. Despite their lack of production, Dallas is still the best team in the state and should leave with an away win in this one.
Key to the Game-
As I wrote before- Dallas is the best team and Texas and I expect them to turn a corner soon. Their youth will have an advantage in the heat this weekend and I expect Ricardo Pepi to keep doing what he is doing- finding the net and adding to his 8 goal season.
