MLS Toll Booth- Weekend Sportsbook Picks
This week I had some monster bets- just in time to celebrate Halloween. We went up to 47.83 units on the season, blowing past my original goal of being +30.
After a quick recap graphic we are onto the second to last weekly article before playoffs! Have a good Halloween and let's make some money together!

Match- Inter Miami host NYCFC
Pick- NYCFC -115
As I have said before, Miami is done with 2021 should be looking ahead at how they are going to build a competitive roster in 2022 with whatever sanctions they may face. NYCFC, on the other hand, is still competing for a playoff spot where they can move up to third in the Eastern Conference with a win.
This should be a relatively easy day for NYCFC who has a tougher opponent ahead in New England. This is a must-win that could put them in prime position with a playoff berth.
Key to the Match-
I usually talk about offense here, but this time I want to talk about how the inept Miami offense (just 34 goals, second lowest in the league) is going to get shut down by the NYCFC defense (just 34 goals allowed in 32 games).
Inter Miami also happens to be near the league lead getting caught offside with over 63 calls this season, which matches up poorly against an aggressive NYCFC backline.
Match- Real Salt Lake host San Jose Earthquakes
Pick- Real Salt Lake -145
The San Jose Earthquakes were hot at points this year- Cade Cowell looked like a blooming star and Chofis Lopez looked like a difference maker. Their early three game win streak led to a four game losing streak (and 11 game winless streak) as their season fell apart before the summer ended.
RSL on the other hand is playing for extra games this postseason. Currently Salt Lake is 7th in the standings and just one win away from 5th place. Damir Kreilach with his 15 goals and 7 assists has been a difference maker and along with Albert Rusnak, making a great attacking tandem. They also provide plenty of support for Rubio Rubin at the top of the Real Salt Lake attack.
Key to the Match-
Chofis Lopez will miss this weekend's game on yellow card accumulation- a big blow to the Quakes who will need firepower to match an RSL attack that has scored a respectable 50 times in 2021.
This game is in Salt Lake City, at altitude, and I think the Quakes (with Matias Almeyda's man-marking system) will get their legs run off and fall flat in a loss.
Other bets worth considering-
Match- DC United host Columbus Crew
Pick- DC United -165
Match- Minnesota United host Sporting KC
Pick- SKC +230
